The Tanga Community Sisal Processing Plant is equipped with a state-of-the-art 5-tonne-per-hour automatic decortication and processing line, producing 800 tonnes of premium-grade UG47 dry sisal fibre per annum from Year 1, scaling to 1,250 tonnes by Year 5 through expanded cultivation across the available 1,200-hectare landholding. The plant directly employs 300 members of the local community through a structured cooperative model, positioning the venture as a flagship LDC community agribusiness in East Africa.
